Under Chilean law, medical marijuana patients can grow cannabis for personal medicinal use.  Even if you get caught with a small amount of cannabis on your person, you may get in trouble. Even the charges of “micro-trafficking” aren’t out of the question. The 2005 Ley de drogas says that you won’t face criminal charges if there are reasons to believe that the drug is “for personal and immediate use.
